Fat Guys Fresh Deli: Exceptional Sandwiches in Meridian, ID

Never trust a skinny sandwich... Love it! We went on a Monday at 2pm and the place was packed! Great service and amazing sandwich options. We had a group of six and tried a few different sandwiches including a turkey club, hot pastrami, a chicken salad wrap and a salad and we're not disappointed. It's in a nondescript business park and parking can be a little cramped but definitely worth stopping in.

This is a great little off the beaten path deli! The staff is friendly, the food portions are huge and delicious. I got the PC Pedro and I recommend it!

The first time I was at Fat Guys, some skinny guy forgot my potato salad that should have come with my Bleu Bronco. Well, the second time at Fat Guys, some other skinny guy ensured I got my slaw along with my California Turkey Club. I’m going to go back once more to see if I ask for potato salad if that skinny guy forgets it. I suspect a conspiracy…. Update: Waddled out of Fat Guys with a Silver Duck sammie. Some OTHER skinny guy made sure I got my delicious potato salad. Now I don’t know what to think. Maybe the CIA is involved?

Had the phat pig sandwich and the jerk chicken soup. Amazing. Changed my life lol. The gals that work there were attentive and quick as well. Planning to cater through them for a work project after my first and only visit.

For such a small place it sure packs a punch! The food is made fresh, hot, and very delicious. Not cheap but also very large sandwiches. A great option for a big lunch. Lots of options and they’re all amazing. Highly recommend!

This local sandwich shop is very cool. The little local spot is packed with character. All of the staff are welcoming and there is a type of humor built into the experience. They have a wide variety of sandwich types and many of them have local ties. I got the Rockaway Sandwich and it was extremely good and fresh. I paired it with their potato salad which was more of a herb base than a cream base like I am used to. It was good just different.

Nice little place with amazing food. I went with family and was wishing I was a kid so I could have the PB&J with bacon. My only reason for the 4 star, not 5, was that they said I'd have to pay for water (didn't want soda). Apparently Idaho law states that you have to provide water, even if you charge for the cup (but their fountain for soda didn't even have the option). I don't fault them for that but I hope they get it fixed ASAP.

First time visit for us, though we had seen it many times going to my wife's appointments. It's a fairly small deli with tables inside and more outside for Al Fresco dining. Not rerally enough room for decorations, although they do let people sign the walls. The menu is on chalkboards and signs over the counter, where you order. They deliver to your table. About 4 people in line ahead of us, but that wait was short. It arrived at our table outside between five and ten minutes later. The sqeeze and I split a Reuben samminch and got two small orders of tater salad. The sandwich had plenty of tender meat in it, a good amount kraut and dressing. It was served on rye bread with swiss cheese. Very nice sandwich, wonderful flavor and plenty for two people. The tater salad was different as it had some meat in it, but very good. I am not sure what the meat was, but it sure added a different texture and flavor to the salad. Service was very good with friendly servers. We are glad we finally stopped in.
